I've spent years in the work I now run for other people — first as an employee, then as a contract VA, and for a while now as a business owner. Somewhere in there I've also kept my own life moving as a wife and mum of two boys, which is its own full-time lesson in staying organized. So I know what a packed plate feels like from every side of it.

I started Pen Runners after seeing the same thing over and over: capable business owners buried under admin, content, and a hundred small tasks that never end — spending their best hours on work that doesn't actually need them. The usual fix is "hire a VA and hand over the busywork," but that just moves the bottleneck around. I wanted to build something made for how work happens now.

So Pen Runners runs on a simple idea: let AI do the repetitive heavy lifting — drafting, sorting, scheduling, follow-through — and put a sharp human on top to catch what software can't and make sure everything goes out right. You get the speed of automation and the judgment of a real person, with none of the dropped balls.
